It’s easy to feel lost sometimes. Like you’re treading water in the middle of the ocean, with nothing and no one in sight.
It’s scary. But sometimes, being lost is the best thing that can happen to you.
To be lost, you must be in the unknown. In a place you’re not familiar with.
Yet, by getting lost, you’ve shown yourself that there is more to the world than what you knew before. There is more outside the boundaries of your knowledge. You’ve been brave enough to push beyond the limits of your experience. You’ve been courageous enough to explore.
Whether you’ve just left formal education, are starting a new job or moving to a new place, you’re going to feel adrift. You’re going to feel uncomfortable, like you don’t quite fit.
But this is good. You’ve stepped into the unknown. You’ve demonstrated to yourself that the world is bigger than the small collection of thoughts, ideas and beliefs you had before.
And now, you can explore this new, uncharted land.
When you’re stranded in the middle of the ocean, you don’t know which way to swim. You’ll probably drown.
But not here. Here, you have friends, family, mentors, teachers, stories and resources to help you.
Use them to go from lost, to found.
Use them to help you navigate the new world you find yourself in.
